  Job Overview

  The British School Al Khubairat is seeking an experienced and dynamic EAL Lead Teacher – Secondary to lead and develop the English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme across the secondary phase. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, high-quality instruction, and academic support to ensure multilingual learners achieve success across the British curriculum.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Secondary EAL programme in line with the British curriculum

  • Plan, deliver, and model high-quality EAL instruction and intervention strategies

  • Support subject teachers in implementing effective EAL and differentiation practices

  • Monitor, assess, and track EAL student progress using data-driven approaches

  • Mentor and support EAL teachers and teaching assistants

  • Promote inclusive teaching practices and language-rich learning environments

  • Liaise with senior leadership, parents, and external agencies as required
